Easter Weekend

We had a fun filled, 3 day, Easter weekend. Saturday was the annual Corbett family picnic. Luckily enough, the weather was perfect in spite of a rainy forecast! Everyone had a lot fun! Spencer made out like a little bandit on the egg hunt, having found the big money eggs and scoring almost $20. David and Carmen beat everyone in the egg toss, (yes, we condone throwing raw eggs at each other for sport) Ashley (Todd's girlfriend) and Katie did not win, as you will see in the pictures below. Chad kicked butt during a wild and crazy game of kickball. And if you look closely at the kickball picture, Chad kicked his shoe right off his foot =) The kids finished the picnic with a mean game of bean bag toss. Do we know how to have fun, or what!?! =) Everyone was pretty worn out when the picnic came to an end.

Sunday, we got up early with the boys so they could hunt for eggs. David was really enthusiastic about the whole thing, and Spencer gave up pretty quick. He was having more fun playing with the stuff he got in his basket. We had to really push to get him to keep looking. But that was fine with David, cause he found the "golden eggs" and scored some cash.

In the early afternoon we went to church, and I am really sad to say that I didn't get any pictures of the boys in their new church clothes. It is struggle enough to get my family all ready and out the door in time for church, without the thought of stopping to take pictures. So don't judge me. =)

After church we had to rush over to my uncles house for Easter dinner with my extended family. Where the kids participated in yet another egg hunt. (no cash this time, dang it. Just kidding) We all had a lot of fun visiting while the kids played with cousins.

On Monday, we went to my moms for another Easter dinner. The kids also had their fourth and final egg hunt. Spencer lost interest about 10 minutes into it and started playing with the toys outside. Which he inadvertently kept finding eggs anyway. David and Carmen were really into it though, and were having a lot of fun.

County Fair

Yesterday my mom talked me into driving with her and my brothers family out to Logandale. Being a work night and Logandale being about an hour away, I was reluctant to go. But after some insistence on her part and my children's puppy dog faces, I gave in. And I am really glad that I did! We had so much fun! The weather was great, the drive wasn't bad and the kids had a blast! So, thank you mom!! Thanks for talking me into going and treating us to a fabulous day at the fair!

If you can't tell, David is Two-face and Spencer is Batman. Carmen is a little beauty in her flowery design. If we want to stick to the Batman theme, we can call her Poison Ivy =) (just minus the poison, she is too sweet to call her poison)

By evening we made our way into the carnival area with all of the money sucking games and nauseating rides. But is was fun in spite of all that. (although, I will never ride a Ferris wheel again. Apparently my mom wont either. I must have inherited my fear of heights from her)

(this is before the Ferris wheel started. I can tell because she is still smiling)

My little brother Freddie and his beautiful wife, that is expecting again! Congratulations!!

Bike Riding

Yesterday Chad took on the feat of teaching David how to ride a bike without training wheels. Today he is riding like a little pro! We are so incredibly proud of him and how fast he picked it up! He is so happy to be riding without training wheels, in his own words, "it feels pretty great!". It is only a matter of time before Spencer is riding too! In the meantime, he kills on his big wheel!

My handsom bike riders =)
