Spencer and the Little Eagles
Spencer had his very first ever soccer practice tonight. He has been looking forward to this for so long and he was so excited! He had a smile on his face from the second I put his little shin guards and cleats on, to the time he went to bed tonight. Look how super cute he is dressed in his practice clothes! He doesn't have a uniform yet, but when he does, you better believe I will have pictures posted soon after =) Not only does he look good, but he did really great at his practice too! He is probably the youngest on the team, but he looked like a little pro out there. (well, as pro as a 3 year old can be) Though, after watching David play for the past couple years, he is no stranger to the soccer ball. David's coaches would sometimes let Spencer participate in their practices, and Chad takes the kids to practice their sports often, so he really does do pretty well! David was real cute during the practice too. He was standing on the sidelines trying to verbally coach Spencer. He is a proud big brother and feels like he can share some of his soccer skills with his little brother. Grandma and Papa even came to watch him for his first practice. We all know how long he has been waiting for his turn! I am so excited to watch his games and see his excitement for finally being on his own little sports team! The Little Eagles first game is the second weekend in September, so more posts to come!
David really is just so proud!
After practice, grandma and papa treated us to Arby's for dinner. While waiting for our food, Spencer practiced writing his name. Some of his letters are backwards, but he did a GREAT job! My smart little soccer player!

First Day of 1st Grade
Monday was David's first day of 1st grade. He was so excited to be going back to school and we were so excited for him to be starting his first year of full days at school. We thought this would be perfect for David since he is always so eager to learn and have fun. Well, the first 2 days seemed to go pretty well, then last night he dropped a little bomb on me. He started crying and said that he didn't want to go to school anymore. When I asked him why, he said because he misses his family too much during the day. He told me that yesterday he missed me so much he could have cried. That broke my heart! He even decided that he could just get home schooled and that way everyone wins. He could still be going to school AND get to be with me all day. After a talk from mommy last night, daddy this morning, and a fun day at school today, he seems to have gotten over it. I am sure that he will continue to adjust to full days just fine and go on being the little guy who LOVES school and learning.
This is David with his best friend Josh. I took several pictures and in every one they had their eyes closed. Chad says it's because their future is so bright. Funny guy =)
They are finally on the big kid playground! Tether ball seems to be his new favorite activity!

Spencer's First Day
Finally! Today was Spencer's first day of pre-school! He has been waiting a very long time for this day to come! He was so excited, he looked so handsome, and he did such a great job! We are so excited for him to start school and having something of his very own. He has been watching David with sports and school for so long now and waiting patiently for his turn. It's finally his turn and he couldn't be more ready!
Here he is, ready to go and looking super handsome in his school uniform.
David was really proud of his little brother but kept stating his concern about how Spencer would behave. He had nothing to worry about =)
His playground is very cool. It's going to be a very fun year for him.
In class they made plate faces with shapes. His was the only one that actually looked like a face! My smart little guy. He calls this a "thinking face". Notice the uni-brow. =)

Handsome little Cubans
Don't you just love little boys in matching clothes and super cute fedoras? Well I do =) Chad's mom surprised us with photos of the boys she had done for Chad's fathers day gift. Love them!! They really turned out super cute! I may be a little bias but I think my kids are really photogenic. They both love having their pictures taken. (if caught in the right mood that is) The photographer, Chauntelle Graf, is a good friend of Chad's little brother, Todd. I think she did a great job! (Don't worry Jess, you are still my #1)
This last one is my favorite! Check out Spencer giving the stink eye and David's attitude =)
