Chuck E Cheese

Tonight we went to Chuck E Cheese with our friends Holly and Lilly. Spencer and Lilly are the same age and they took to each other right away. It was so cute to see them walking around sharing tokens and holding hands. I am used to David having little girlfriends, but this is a first for Spencer. David was off making friends with some boys on the air hockey game, Spencer and Lilly entertained each other and Holly and I enjoyed visiting (while following the 2 year olds around). This was our first experience actually having to pay for tokens and food at Chuck E Cheese, but the kids got to play for a long time, (thanks Papa) and they earned lots of tickets between the 3 of them. They all walked out with hands full of little prizes. We had lots and lots of fun!!

1st Day of School

Today was Davids first day of school. He has been so excited about this for so long. He knew what he wanted to wear and everything. And of course, when the time came for us to go and David to put on his backpack, Spencer HAD to put his backpack on too. The school is right next to our house, so we get to walk David to school everyday. Which is fantastic since we had to drive almost 20 minutes to his preschool for 2 years. When we got to school, grandma was waiting to wish David luck on his first day. David loves school so much and we are all so excited for him to finally be in elementary school. Well, all of us except for Spencer. The whole time David was in school, Spencer kept telling us he needed his David.

Pine Valley '08

This weekend we went camping with Chad's family in Pine Valley, UT. The weather was beautiful and it was so nice being able to relax and just have family time. The first night there, we got quite a thunder and lightning storm. There was hardly any rain, which was good, but the the storm was awesome. I have never experienced anything like it. The thunder was so loud and would practically echo through the mountains, and the lighting would light up the sky. It was a little frightening and amazing all at once. Thankfully the kids slept through it, cause I am sure they would have been terrified.

During the days we would do a lot of relaxing. The boys went fishing several times, and caught lots of fish. None of us are big fish eaters, so they were catching them and throwing them back. We did cook a couple of them, and they turned out really good. (for fish) Uncle Jason brought a bean bag toss game that was a big hit with everyone. Chad and his brothers can get very competitive. It was a lot of fun!

All packed up and ready to go!

Spencer was so excited to finally get there after about 2 1/2 hours of driving.

David told me that one of his favorite parts about camping is that he can eat and drink without having to sit down at the table.

Lots of hammock time...

Bean bag toss.

Fun by the campfire.

Fishing time! Uncle Jason broke his streak of no fish in 12 years! (this first picture was Chad teaching the boys how to cast. This is the only fishing action Spencer got)

Some more random pictures.

David-a-lot & Spencer-a-lot

This weekend the boys stayed the night with their grandparents so Chad and I could celebrate our anniversary. Of course, they came home with presents. Grandma and Papa are really good at spoiling their grandkids! Spencer got Click the Camera from the Diego cartoon, and Davids present was a Knight costume. The boys have been having so much fun! Spencer tends to look a little silly, since he makes up his own ways of wearing it, but still very cute!! David has been asking me to play the princess almost everyday. I love watching him and Spencer stretch their imaginations! They are so creative with their story lines and dialogue.
They refer to themselves as, "David-a-lot and Spencer-a-lot".

Thank you Grandma and Papa for providing the props for endless hours of imaginative entertainment! We love you!
