Little Grad...Again

Another year down, and yes, another graduation. =) This is our 3rd graduation in 3 years for David. They just keep getting cuter and cuter even though the kids keep getting bigger and bigger. This year David graduated from kindergarten. Although, they have to call it a "celebration", it really is a graduation. He has done so well with school and he loves it so much! He gets upset when he is sick and has to miss a day. (definitely gets that from his dad!) He would so much rather be at school with all of his friends. He is very excited for 1st grade and getting to be there all day. We are so proud of him and everything he accomplished this school year!

Well, here are some pics and videos of the "celebration". The videos are sideways*, I apologize. Maybe next time we can figure out what we are doing before hand. =)

*not responsible for any headaches or neck cramps received while watching these videos

This is a video of 2 songs they did. They are actually pretty funny to watch, especially the second one.

Next up, 1st grade!

This is video of his "celebration" speech.

Rockhounds

David just finished his second and last year of tball. He was on the Rockhounds and I had the lucky job of being team mom for him! It was a lot of fun being able share this experience with him. It is something I will definitely do again! He did AWESOME this year! After the first practice, the coach pulled us aside and recommended moving him up to rookies. We kept him in tball though so he could continue to learn the fundamentals of the game. He will definitely be ready to move up in the fall. At his team party he won the award for "Most Complete Player". He really loves sports and it shows in the dedication he puts in to excelling at each one he plays. (He and Chad spend numerous hours a week practicing) We are so proud of him and the great attitude he had during the season.

Spencer loved practicing with Chad and David all season. He can't wait till he is old enough to be on a team of his own and neither can we!!

Big Blogging Slacker

I just wanted to share a few pics from my Mother's Day. Chad and the boys made it an absolutely perfect day for me!! I would have posted them sooner, but I have been a big blogging slacker. But at least I am admitting it, right? =)

Me and my mommy on Mother's Day

My favorite people in the world

Verrizanos, of course.

Lastly, a trip to U Swirl to top it all off!

Thanks so much for a wonderful day boys! I love being your mommy!

Swimming and Bootlegging

My mom and I took my brother up on the offer to meet him, Nicole and Carmen at their hotel pool. (Nicole's Mothers Day gift was a weekend of relaxing at a hotel) Unfortunately, my kids are NOT fish and have yet to learn how to swim. Despite the swim lessons every summer and trips to the pool, they haven't picked it up. I am determined to have them both floaty free before summers end. Anyway, this particular pool was only 3 1/2 feet deep,(David could stand) so they were fine and the were LOVING it!

Before we headed home, my mom took the boys and I to dinner at The Bootlegger. The walls of the restaurant used to be completely covered with old Vegas black and white photos. Photos of the original people who made Vegas entertainment what it is. Several of these pictures used to be of my grandpop's group, The Characters. Sadly, a lot of the pictures have been removed and this is the only one left of my great uncle Carmen, (far left) and my grandpop, Freddie, (far right). Isn't it a great picture?!?

Family Vacation

This weekend we took our first family vacation and we all had a blast! We left early Sunday morning and went straight to a Dodger game. It was really hot and really fun! When we got there, they gave the kids free jerseys, which they changed into right away. The best part was that the Dodgers won, 7-3, against the Padres. This was David's first major league baseball game, and he loved every minute of it! It was the perfect start to our vacation.

Right after the game, we drove to Huntington beach and had a picnic. It was way too cold to actually put on bathing suits and play in the water, but the kids made do. They LOVED the beach and chasing the waves. They got soaked (despite our pleas to stay dry) and covered in sand. The picnic ended up just being Chad and I sucking down our sandwiches while the kids played. They couldn't take a break from the waves to sit down and eat. But that is okay, how often do they get to play in the ocean?!

Monday morning we SURPRISED the boys with a day at the happiest place on earth. They were SO excited!! They weren't the only ones though, Chad and I were crazy excited to be at Disneyland! It was truly an almost perfect day. We never waited in line for more than 5 minutes, the weather was fabulous and the kids had great attitudes all day. It was amazing to see Disneyland through their eyes. They were in awe about everything! David said his favorite ride was Splash Mountain and Spencer said his favorite was Pirates of the Caribbean. It was really sweet when we took the boys to the wishing well near the castle. Spencer wished that Todd would come back. I wanted to cry! Anyway, it was such a great day and we took SO MANY pictures. I tried to narrow it down (and believe me, I did!) so you wouldn't be overwhelmed. So I am posting some of my favorites. Enjoy!

Honey, THANK YOU for planning the perfect vacation for our perfect little family! We love you!
